J. Harley Walsh is Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Green Source Holdings LLC. Mr. Walsh’s duties include financial management and planning for the company, strategic planning, and coordinating the company’s government affairs efforts.
Mr. Walsh most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Vivum Group LLC, responsible for day-to-day operations, finance and project management. Vivum develops commercial real estate software as well as provides investment advisory services and outsourcing consultancy. Vivum’s software is currently deployed to clients who manage more than 2,000 properties with $1 billion in annual revenue with Vivum’s ASP applications. Vivum has advised for Fortune 500/FTSE 100 to privately-held companies on real estate portfolio acquisitions, company M&A’s, and asset risk-transfer outsourcing solutions.
Mr. Walsh has more than 15 years of business and management experience in a broad range of activities, including finance, operations, IT/Consulting, software development, and government affairs.
Prior to joining Vivum, Mr. Walsh worked in the United States Senate serving as Legislative Director for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. As Legislative Director, he managed Senator Hutchison’s legislative operations, including overseeing the development of legislation, Senate floor and committee activities, and communications with constituents. Mr. Walsh also served as the Senator’s senior advisor on a variety of issues, including finance, taxes, banking and appropriations. Mr. Walsh also had significant experience with energy, judiciary, transportation and military issues.
Prior to working in the Senate, Mr. Walsh was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers in the investment banking division. He worked in the Financial Institutions Group, specializing in insurance and specialty finance companies, and worked on a variety of merger and acquisition, debt financings and equity financing transactions. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Walsh served an artillery officer in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Walsh attended Washington and Lee University, earning a B.A. in economics. He also received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. Prior to university, he attended The Lawrenceville School in Princeton, New Jersey and Eton College in Berkshire, England. Mr. Walsh lives with his family in Austin, Texas.
